iFriends bills itself as "the largest LIVE webcam chat network on Earth" and with 400,000+ registered users and 500-600 girls (and guys) available and online at any give time, I'm inclined to believe them. This is perhaps the oldest live cam site around, the proverbial "one that started it all", and iFriends is still going stong today, offering up lots of great cam features, a huge archive of cam girls from around the world, and an excellent live cam experience. Let's check it out!
Signing up for an iFriends account is free but the site also has a couple of other monthly recurring plans: $6.95 for the Club VIP membership and $8.95 for the Club Elite membership. Enumerating all the features you receive with these memberships would be beyond the scope of this review (plus, you can check them out for yourself on the site) but the biggest bonus IMO is access to the entire archive history of every iFriends chat host going all the way back to when the site opened in 1998. This includes literally millions of pics and vids. Other features include faster framerates, private 1-on-1 shows (if you're a normal members all shows are semi-private), the ability to zoom in the camera and go cam to cam, HD quality videos, various discounts throughout the site, improved customer service, and more. The free membership is fine if you just want to buy some private chats with the cam girls but the VIP and Elite memberships really unlock a shitload of additional features so you may want to strongly consider upgrading to one of them. Anyhow, once you've got your account, it's time to start exploring. IFriends is one of those sites that is so large and has so many things going on, finding your way around cam be a bit daunting at first. I'll do my best to give you an overview of the experience here. The main page has lots of links on it and you may wonder where to go first. At the top of the page, you'll find various banner links to a selection of categories...these include Amateurs, Fresh Faces (I'm assuming these girls are new to iFriends), Certified College Girls, girls with high quality cams, and cam girls who have won awards on the site. Below the categories, there's a selection of various cam girls who are currently online and available (this is constantly and randomly changing) as well as links to latest photo and video additions to the archive, explanations of some of the iFriends features, and several other items. Some dropdown menus across the top of the page provide you with a bunch of additional search and sort options. The Live Cam Stars tab is as good a place as any to start. Here you can view all of the cam girls that are live and online or you can break things down by age, build, breast size, ethnicity, hair color, eye color, height, and special options (tattoos, piercings, etc.). They also have separate sections for girls, guys, lesbians, trannies/crossdressers, lesbians, girl-guy and guy-guy couples, and more. It looks like these menus only allow you to sort by one of the aforementioned criteria but the site does have an advanced search feature which allows you to simultaneously select multiple options (age, race, height, hair color, eye color, build, measurements, and keywords of your choosing, among other things) and find a cam girl that possesses all of them. Once you've done some sorting, you'll see the listings of the cam girls displayed down the middle of the page. These listings contain quite a bit of info about the model. Of course, there's the standard preview pic and description of the cam girl as well as a flag to tell you what languages they speak (the cam girls here come from all over the world but, as is usually the case, they all speak English). Above the description you'll find a bunch of icons which let you know what features that cam girl offers and, here at iFriends, there are a ton of them available. There are symbols that indicate whether the cam girl has audio, a high quality/zoomable camera, a vibrator or sex toys, a high speed internet connection, phone chat, 2-way audio (this is done through a special privacy conferencing system iFriends offers), or if she offers cam to cam. There are some pretty unique features as well. Some cam girls offer multiple cams and allow you change your viewpoint during the show. Other girls have single cams but allow you to control the pan, tilt, and zoom. One feature I've never seen anywhere else is a 3-D show where you can actually where 3-D glasses and enjoy a truly unique and immersive experience. There's a button to chat with the model in her listing as well. Unfortunately, it looks like the majority of the cam girls at iFriends don't offer free video chat. Browsing around, amany do offer free text chat though (acessible by clicking the Guest Chat link in their listing). There's a Voyeur View which gives you a little free glimpse of the girl through a simulated keyhole but that's about it as far as free live video most of the time. If you absolutely have to video chat with a cam girl for free beforehand, you'll have to dig out of the archive the babes marked with the FREE LIVE VIDEO CHAT button. When it comes to private chat, most cam girls charge around $2.50-$3.50 per minute for a live show. As I mentioned, if you're not a VIP or Club Elite member, these shows will always be semi-private (i.e. other iFriends members can enter the show and enjoy the girl as well). You'll have to upgrade your membership for a true 1-on-1 experience. Some of the cam girls charge more for live shows...I saw some cam girls (and, more commonly, couples) who were charging a whopping $8.99-$9.99 per minute which is just crazy IMO. The pricing for the cam girl is clearly marked and before you enter into a paying show, they'll give you a confirmation window to make sure you want to continue. The chat interface in free and private is pretty typical. The live cam feed is on the left and the chatbox is on the right. If you're a VIP or Elite member, you get some additional features like enlarging the screen size and taking screen captures (if the model allows that). There's no timer in private chat so you'll have to keep track of the time spent on your own. They do provide an End Session button for when you're ready to drop out of the private chat. As expected with an archive this huge, the quality varies from cam girl to cam girl. If you really want the good looking cams, obviously you should sort out the girls with HQ cams (which you can do in one of the main menus). Those look quite nice, are large resolution, and very clear. I did find that some of the HQ cams I was able to view seemed a bit choppy at times despite their overall clarity but whether it was related to the cam girl's connection or mine I couldn't tell. I had a couple of good private shows at iFriends although I'll admit to a couple of abortive attempts before those that used up some money in exchange for no action. In one, the cam girl was responsive in free chat but once in private was simply taking too long to do anything other than type (and then wanted to play truth or dare at $3.99/minute...I think not, missy!) so I finally pulled the plug and ended the session. Another chick didn't respond at all in free text chat so I soldiered on and jumped into private chat. She didn't respond there either so I thought maybe I hadn't actually entered private and I wasn't being charged but after ending that session and checking my account, I found I had been. Not sure what was up with that. Having said that, I would stress that these chicks are more than likely NOT representative of most of the girls here by any means...there are thousands of girls at iFriends and I only get a limited amount of credits with which to check them out for my review so it's hard to get more than a tiny sampling. On the plus side, I did have some great live shows at iFriends including one with a curvy girl-next-door who was very friendly and flirty in free chat and very obedient in private, getting naked, dancing, and fingering her asshole for me upoon my request. I also saw some extremely hot 18 year old girls who responded quickly to requests, getting naked and naughty without much prodding from me. Like I said, it really depends on the girl you get...as you probably already know, the experience at a live cam site is highly dependent upon the cam girl you're viewing. My advice would be to start out with the iFriends girls that are listed as Award Winners so you can be pretty much guaranteed of having a great show. Before I wrap things up, let me try to briefly touch on some of the bonus stuff and additional featurs available to you at iFriends (mainly to people who have upgraded their memberships to VIP or Elite). Each cam girl at iFriends has a Fan Club which is basically their personal profile page. These Fan Clubs typically contain a bunch of stuff including the model's bio stats, cam schedule, messaging information, diary and wall, discounts, and screen savers as well as pics, vids, and camshow replays of the model. Some of these archives are truly huge and features thousands of pics and hundreds of vids. You can view some of this stuff for free while some of it requires that you join the model's Fan Club. There are a couple of ways to do this. The membership to the Fan Club is "free" as long as you're a so-called videochat regular with that particular cam girl. This means you need to spend a certain amount (sometimes $19.99, sometimes more) with the cam girl each month in private chat. If you do that, you get access to the cam girl's Fan Club for free. Your other options are to pay a certain amount (typically the amount I listed above for the "free" membership) for a "Best Of iFriends" DVD which automatically then gives you access to the girl's Fan Club or you can just pay a flat-rate of $19.99/month or $29.99/month or whatever the cam girl chooses to charge for her club. The advantage of this last option is that you then get that cam girl's DVD/VOD's for free and 25% off the DVD/VOD's of all the other iFriends cam models. As I mentioned earlier, upgrading your membership gets you access to iFriend's enormous archive of millions of photos and videos going all the way back to 1998. Elite members get access to the HD versions of these vids and they also get to use certain special features such as the Elite Cam Multi-Viewer which lets you view multiple cam girls' cams at once. There's a Live Cam Spy feature which lets you browse multiple girls' "keyhole" video streams as well. One other cool feature for new members is the Welcome Wagon...this allows new users to enter certain models premium chat for no cost in order to receive a personalized tour of iFriends. There are lots of other cool things going on here but I'll leave them to you to discover and check out. |

IFriends also offers up the most cam features I've seen thus far including some unique options like adjustable multi-cams and even 3-D shows. Cam quality can vary from girl to girl although they do offer a separate section of girls with HD quality cams which look really nice. In addition, upgrading your iFriends membership for a very reasonable monthly fee gets you access to a huge archive of millions of pics and vids as well as a plethora of other special features.
